REACT Defense Systems is honored to be the Southwest Regional Training Center for Krav Maga Worldwide. This means that we have the privilege of being one of only five Krav Maga training centers in the country that certifies other instructors for the Krav Maga Worldwide system. Therefore our students are getting the best possible training from instructors that not only teach students Krav Maga, but other instructors as well. Coupled with our outstanding dedication to providing reality-based training to save lives, REACT Defense Systems is the place to learn self defense.
Krav Maga was originally developed by Imi Lichtenfeld for the newly formed state of Israel, and was brought to United States by Darren Levine. Darren is only one of two people in the world today who holds Imi’s coveted founders diploma, and is also a 6th degree black belt in Krav Maga. Jay Ackerman is trained and certified under Darren, and is the one who was chosen to bring Krav Maga to Arizona. Why is this important for you to know?
So you can be assured when you are training at one of our centers in Arizona, you are getting the only official Krav Maga as Imi himself wanted it taught. The official logo and worldwide symbol on our door assures you of the quality of our training, so don’t be fooled by the many martial arts schools that claim to teach "Worldwide" Krav Maga. The only officially licensed and certified instructor’s in the valley of Arizona are under Chief Instructor Jay Ackerman at his Phoenix Regional Training Center. The only official Worldwide Krav Maga schools in Arizona are Phoenix, Chandler, Glendale and Gilbert along with our licensees Alan Dankworth and Mark Howard in Tuscon.
